
Challenge
KUHNE was founded by friends of ours, which gave us complete creative freedom to develop a new brand and logo for a small ribs-and-burgers spot. The 12 sq. m space resembled a cozy kitchen where the owner both cooked and took orders, creating a warm, home-like atmosphere.
Solution
Inspired by Soviet-era kitchen culture in Lithuania—often associated in Kaunas with freedom, conversation, and parties—we created the name KUHNE (from the Russian “kuhnja” and the German “küche”). Following market trends and a focused menu of pork ribs and pulled-pork burgers, a meat cleaver symbol was used in the logo to emphasize fresh meat. The slogan “Hunger Killers” naturally reinforced the bold and aggressive brand character.
Results
The brand and packaging create a cozy, traditional feel with a clear emphasis on meat quality.
